my obsession with flared jeans

I'm trying to get dressed and all I want to wear is flared jeans!!! I JUST wore them though... so can I really wear them again today?? I currently own one pair from a recent upscale consignment shop purchase, and another that a friend got on sale (I almost passed out) at Anthro a couple of weeks ago. I need to take these to be hemmed today.

The insanely busy, frightfully cold, perfectly sublime week

Wisconsin Dells!!!

Steve and I took my cousins to the waterpark early this week... SUPER quick trip. Down and back in a little over 24 hours. It was SOOO cold.

Steve was driving and I was in the passenger seat on the way home. I realized our trip had been sublime while listening to the new Bon Iver album Steve had downloaded for us, taking a sip of my nonfat misto with 2 pumps of coconut, and watching Aidan and Gemma sleep in the backseat. They both had their headphones in and mouths wide open. So sweet. Damn I wish I would've gotten a picture.

Once we got home, I got right back in the car to go to Minneapolis... more driving. I was asked to be a model for the launch of maurices new denim line. Mid July, I and about 7 other corporate associates will have our pictures and thoughts about our personal style on maurices.com. I'll post it here when it's up! 

btw- I wanna be a model! (never mind that I'm terrible at it and a nervous wreck). The photographer's studio was so cool!

THEN, I got Back in the car, picked up my little buddy in Duluth, and drove into rural Wisconsin to have dinner with people from my company. Again... totally wonderful. 

I feel like I jammed an entire week into 3 days.

Fathers

My Father is amazing. I just simply couldn't do my life without him. Most people don't speak to their dad on the phone everyday, but I do. Most people don't have dinner with their dad 3-4 times a week, but I do. He is my father, AND mother, and best friend.  
Soooo... to celebrate this day that honors special dads like mine, I will be making my dad his favorite dessert, Lemon Bars. I'm going to try this recipe from Paula Deen. (I'm a bit of a food network freak).
